Booking Appointments

We operate an appointment system and a daily drop in clinic, one problem only.  Most appointments are available within 48 hours; however we try to offer a minimum of five morning and four afternoon appointments per week for emergencies.  Some appointments can be booked on the day and up to seven days in advance. We are now accepting on-line appointment bookings, please ask at reception for details.

You should phone the surgery between 8.00am – 9.00am if you require a same day appointment, if available.

If you are unable to keep your appointment for any reason, please let us know immediately so we can offer the appointment to someone else who needs it.

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak to a member of the medical team for advice please inform one of our staff or fill out our online form and they will be able to let you speak to our nurse or the on call doctor when they are available. Unless it is a medical emergency, you will not be put through to them if they are consulting. Instead, you may be included in the telephone consultation list. This means that the on call Doctor will call you back to discuss your problem.

If you wish to speak to a particular member of the team who is already dealing with your problem, please inform staff accordingly, and they will advise you of his on call duty. Please note that telephone consultations cannot be booked in advance, so you would need to phone on the day. When the doctor you normally see is away, there will always be a doctor on call who can help you with any problems in his or her absence. When one of the doctors is away on annual leave, it may be necessary for the practice to employ a locum doctor in order to maintain the number of appointments available to patients. All locums employed by the Practice have completed their GP training and have been thoroughly checked by both the Agency and the Surgery.
